CCBC is a Nonprofit that organization established in 1996 dedicated to providing positive community support utilizing mentorship, outreach and social engagement to enhance the lives of marginalized groups in our community. Our annual Easter egg hunt was created 25 years ago with hopes of establishing comradery, community service, and tradition within these groups. The Easter egg hunt will take place in the Richmond Heights community bringing people from diverse backgrounds and all ages together to participate in a fun and safe gathering. This project is near and dear to my heart because I am able to live out the legacy of my father the late Robert McKay Jr., who was a co-founder of CCBC. This project has become ritual for the community and will bring a sense of security and closeness for those who celebrate the holiday or are simply a member of the neighborhood. The project will be exciting, but it will also allow furthering collaborative efforts for local organizations with a similar mission to work alongside one another while fulfilling our purpose and impacting the lives of others in a meaningful way.
This project entails coordinating an easter egg hunt, numerous games for kids and serving people from diverse backgrounds to ensure safety and togetherness.
